Palmyra

Caleb was inspired by a seminary lesson to gather names on family search to take to the temple. He skyped with grandma Camilla, and she guided him through the process. Today he took them to the temple. Sarah Taylor is in town, and she came with us.

Another friend was planning to come with us, but wasn't feeling well. When she called last night Scott suggested we wait until next month when josh can come, too. Caleb's response to that was, why can't we go both months? How can you argue with that? Someone I spoke to at the temple said this was an example of good, better, best. Caleb made a good choice.

While in palmyra we toured the new bishops storehouse. It was a nice experience for the kids. We also stocked up on wheat and a few other things.

We watched a video at the Hill Cumorah visitor center and the kids hiked thru the woods and back down again.

After lunch we had a quick game of kickball.

Concert

Caleb and Josh both participated in the MS/HS band concert. It was interesting to see the progression from one band to the next. We have a great instrumental program!

Ice skating

We had one lovely day on the ice. We were short on time so we didn't skate for long, but the 35 degrees was perfect after our weeks of 10-15! Wouldn't you know the next day it rained! We will wait patiently for the ice to improve again.

I appreciate the lions club and town building an ice so we don't have to have one at home ;-)

Court of honor

Caleb and Josh started scouts last July, and they are slowly progressing through merit badges. It's a nice strong group of boys. We drive 40 min each week to meet with them.

Isaac

20 degrees and sunny. Sounds like play outside weather!
