See the unsure look on Joshua's face? The Branch had a pig roast on Saturday. We stopped in to watch her cook at 8:30am. 
Caleb wasn't so sure, either. At least there was no head!
Here's the set up. The boys had plenty of questions about the equipment. They like to know how everything works. So, as for the pork - I would have been satisfied with BBQ Chicken. To top it off, I brought home 3 gallon bags full to freeze until the Branch Christmas Party. Oh, my!
Last week we had a day at Verona Beach. It is a great place! It's a State Park with several pavilions, playgrounds, paths, nice indoor facilities and a HUGE guarded swimming area that is below the knee the whole way out - several yards! Also, notice the sand pile - very fun!
Lydia was not feeling well that day, and she spent time in my arms and the stroller. 
She's doing this pointing thing all the time now, mostly Right Handed. Also, notice the tongue. It's always out!
Lydia has new tricks! She loves to make piles of things, collect things and bring us things. Her favorites are blocks and those stacking dolls that go inside each other. The other day the boys would not pick up the Tinkertoys. After being in the high chair I set Lydia on the floor. She immediately went to work dropping the toys in the bucket. She showed them how to get to work!
Seussical the Musical! These are the Who children. We had a few Who adults to wrangle them, too.

Audience members commented on how well behaved she was. There were times when I sat on the stage floor with her in the middle of a scene to keep her from squirming out of my arms. Some entrances were accompanied by a bottle. Some began with a pretzel stick in her hand. She only had one audible squeal on stage - and that was at the end of the last show. I guess she just wanted to be heard! This was definitely not MY show. This was for the kids. All in all, it was a good experience. I might not do another one with all three like this, but I guess next time they will all be older, it will be a different show, and ..... Don't be surprised to see the Larchar family up there again soon! Oh, if only we could wrangle Daddy into it, too! I guess every show needs an audience!

Last week was rough on Joshua especially. He usually goes to bed at 6:30, so rehearsals that began at 6 and ran until 9 or 10 were hard! Plus, he was still rising at 6am!
Caleb asks, when can we do the next show! He loved being on the stage. He wishes that we had been on stage the whole time. The waiting was fun, too, though. We hung out in the chorus room with all the other little Who's.

Lydia loved her first sugar cookie! A little apprehensive, but it didn't take long to enjoy it. Funny how the third child is less restricted on what she eats! The boys were eating very bland foods until 1 year. Lydia has had Life cereal, cookies, applesauce, pretzels...
We have had a quick visit from Sarah, Jessy and Jonny! Joe dropped them off on his way to NYC. One last visit before they pack up and move from Cleveland to Columbus (Ohio, that is).

This is swimming! We have had lessons every Mon-Thurs this summer. Today is our last class! Joshua has gone from the baby pool to the three feet. He loves class so he can wear a "noodle" and swim around alone.
Sometimes Lydia watches from the stroller. She does fine holding me in the water, too. She splashes her hands on the surface.
Daddy joins us occasionally in the evening after work. The boys like him to take them in the 8 feet for jumping. I don't seem to have the endurance to keep myself AND them afloat.
