Happy birthday, Josh

We celebrated Josh's 11th birthday before he and Caleb left for their first experience with Scout Camp.

I sent a birthday in a box with some trinkets and favors to help them celebrate at camp.

Josh wanted a multi later cake with pink frosting and a chicken on top. I did my best. We added a cool whip nest and used a Little People parrot since we couldn't find the chicken, and farmer Jed stood beside him.

The chicken was probably hard to find because I had dumped the Little People bucket into an Ikea bag so Josh could pack for camp in a big storage container instead of a duffle bag. I think that will work well for them. Caleb's using the Lincoln Log bucket.

A visit to the farm

We had a brief visit to the farm for the kids to share with the Jacksons. We walked, biked a little, and then had an atv ride down to see the pig.

We walked thru the woods a little- boy, was it green and growing. My last walk there was in early spring. It made me appreciate the groomed trails of Rogers Center!

Enjoying the short visit

Hanging out, watching, eating and biking.

The big boys spent time using the gravel pile as a ramp for jumping bikes. Isaac made a sandwich for Jacob. The girls worked on a rainbow loom gift for grandma after her knee surgery.

Playground/creek/rain

We walked to paddleford when Sarah and I got back from singing at the Vets Home. We had a little time to creek walk and play on the playground before the rain came, but ultimately got soaked!
