Transitioning to new technology has been a challenge for me over the last year, and I know it's not a good excuse, but my photo capturing and storage situation has halted my progress with the blog.  I want to get back into things, and probably skip over this past year and tuck in photos here and there.  Let's start fresh and see what the next year brings!

Check out these ears. Put a pacifier in his mouth and he grabs his ear - a signal for sleep time.  Once he had the ear in his little fingers he would fold it up and stick it inside itself.  Often we would arrive home and his little ear was still in place.

I tried desperately to make a place for ice skating in the back yard.  The mild winter would just not cooperate.  We had a lovely 5 days of skating with Rylan frequently joining us.  I was so sad to put it all away when all hope of frozen ground was gone.

Although we lacked snow this winter we had some cold days.  Rylan came for some kickball.


This is a trip to Rogers Center for the Winter Living Celebration.  There are times when the day has sleigh rides.  This was a horse drawn wagon instead

The day after Christmas our dear brother Joseph came to build our foyer shelves.  Thank you Joseph for your expert carpentry skills.  Thanks for making the project come to life.


I can't believe that there is only one picture of our Christmas Break visit to The MOST in Syracuse.  I look forward to the time when I can mesh new computer, phone and camera into one and not miss a thing.

Caleb begins his "science at home" life.  He informed me that they would be building structures in science class, and he wanted to practice at home.  I didn't have and paperclips, so we used toothpicks and clay.  The project was so riveting that I did end up buying a container of paperclips for him so we could try that, too.  Since this day in January we have had an endless stream of ideas of things he wants to build, create, invent, mass produce...  Honestly, it has driven me pretty bonkers.  I am no scientist, and certainly not an engineer.  I await the time when he finds a truly satisfying outlet for his creative genious.
