Caleb and Lyddie created a little reading nook in her room.

Joshua volunteers to clean the toilet. I don't know why that is a preferred job for him

Don't let Isaac fool you that he is waving. He is really trying to get my camera. You can barely see my bike rig behind the park bench. Boy, do I get a workout pulling 50 pounds behind my bike! Especially when it comes to the hill to get back up to our road.

Lyd the pajama girl. It's not sleepwear, it's an outfit.

Round and around.

The princess sitting on her "throne."

Lyddie drew a man on the chalkboard. There are two eyes, two nostrils (or noses, as she described), and the dot at the bottom is his belly button.

Pick me up!

Now!

Lyddie enjoyed getting "close" to the dog, testing it out - as long as I was sitting there, too.

Isaac getting "into" the playdough

This is Joshua's class trip to Roger's Center. I carried Isaac on the farm tower walk, then strolled until after lunch.

Scott is in this field with the tetter. It looked so beautiful to me, the 656 pulling the tetter out in the field behind the house. I couldn't capture a picture that said it just right. This job sent me out looking for a lost tetter arm. I thought I might find it before the rake and baler did. After two trips I didn't find it, but I felt that Heavenly Father would bless my efforts. The field was safely baled, but we never did find the arm. I managed to gum up the axel on my trunk stroller with enough cut hay to pop a wheel off. Oh well.

These girls loved playing together. It is always sad to see a fun friendship for Lyddie be separated by distance at the end of a trip.

Instead of travelling to Sherburne for the Memorial Day Parade this year, Heidi and I took the kids to the Columbus Center Cemetery. I had the boys sing the song they did at school. We did rubbings of some worn stones and searched around for Larchars and Purdies. Purdies owned the farm before it became a Larchar Farm. There is a "removed" relationship between the two farming families. The sister of Waity Howard Purdie (who purchased the farm with her husband in 1837) was the grandmother of Uri C. Larchar who purchased the farm from the Purdies in 1901. Uri's son John owned the farm in 1958. The farm passed from John to his son William, Scott's father.

Joshua stands at a John Larchar stone from 1882 or 1887. He was 24 years old. Caleb's middle name in John. There was an Otis Larchar, and I asked which child wanted to be namesake to him. Guess who answered.

Scott and Dennis on the 656. Another good day on the farm.

After Kenneth's graduation we met up with Phil Baldauf and his mom and family back at Diane's house. It was a sticky and hot afternoon, but everyone had a great time and shared a great meal. Thanks, Diane and Joseph.

Gracie in the swing- it was very hard to get her away from the swing, she loved it so much.

Isaac and I hung out in an open hall at the back of the stadium during the graduation. He stayed in the stroller most of the time, and I just pushed him back and forth.
