Diane & Ben went with us to a night animals program at Rogers Conservation Center. Lydia fell asleep not too long into it, but no such luck with Ben. The two of them left early.
Josh found this monstrous sycamore leaf.
When I walked into the room this bugler scared the pants off me. I had no idea he even had the horn out, and he played it exactly when I walked in. He is so funny!

I have been trying to capture the one legged crawl. She always crawls with her left leg dragging! Crazy!
Fun on the farm. We spend a lot of time hanging out in the barn driveway. With bales stacked, gravel piles, cats, the dog, washers & bolts to be found in the dirt... The entertainment is endless.

The view from our house
Sam the Dog
The boys digging a hole to china in a gravel pile at the barn
The kids are climbing on a stack of 1,000 pound hay bales. It's wet hay, which means it was baled and wrapped to allow the hay to ferment. The cows think that's yummy.

Autumn on the farm
Lydia is forward facing - even though she's not quite a year. She was wiggling out of the rear facing seat - it's not a five point harness.

Columbus Day
Columbus Day Tractor Pull - Playground

Tractor Pull at the Columbus Day Celebration. Lydia loved the tractors. She swung her arms and clapped.
Josh learns to spin.
This is the Columbus Town Hall. There is a monument just below that recognizes soldiers who died during the first world war. The brother of Scott's great grandfather is listed there. Columbus, NY was the first Town of Columbus in the United States. It was established in 1892, I think. There was a program on the Loomis Gang here at the town hall. We brought Grandma Grandma along for the day. She enjoyed the program and seeing her Columbus friends.

Fall

We love it when Daddy comes home for lunch. Good for getting rid of leftovers, too. I hate it when he asks me to make him a lunch in the morning - means he's not planning to be around.
The large pumpkin was not grown by us, but the gourds and green pumpkin were.
Lydia helping to make applesauce.
Lydia is still a gasper.

Lovely fall foliage in Central New York
In the bed.
Out of the bed.
Lovely views of the creek behind our house with the leaves falling. We are crossing the foot bridge that leads to the park.
Our house in fall

The neighbor's tree from our yard

Raking leaves into a pile under the swing. The boys had fun.
Lyddie just watched patiently from the stroller.
Fun in the leaves!

Here is the front bush before its trim. I have a funny story to connect to it. I borrowed our good neighbor Duane's electric hedge trimmer. He was sure I couldn't hurt it unless I fell off the ladder, and I wasn't going to do that. So, I'm trimming away, climbing up and down the ladder as I move around the bush. On one climb down I didn't pay attention to where the cord was... I trimmed the cord! It's the kind of trimmer where an extension cord plugs right into it. So it was an extension cord that I cut. I sheepishly went over and confessed. He forgave and came over with another extension cord so I could finish the project. To make me feel better, it was a cord that he had already spliced a new end on, and I was less than two feet in with my new cut! Oh well.

Conference weekend. We had family over to watch General Conference. Yes, it was difficult to concentrate at times, but it's nice to have an excuse to get together. Benjamin loves playing with the kids.

Lyddie's got two pig tails. Got to keep her bangs out of her eyes.
