In the midst of canning beans, pickles and washing dishes.

The "family" practice experience is not what it was over the summer, and since we practice on school nights, I often have Caleb ride his bike home from practice so Josh can get to bed. The field is just on the other side of the creek, down where our road meets the main road.
Caleb is playing "Fall Soccer." There are two practices weeknights, then games 10am Saturdays. In the summer we played other Sherburne kids. In the fall it's a county league, so we travel to different towns.
Welcome to our Labor Day weekend project. The tearing down of the shed and the expanding of the driveway. There are many photos and video, and your patience is requested. Scott is anxious to share this job with his siblings and others, so it is all placed here in detail for that purpose. I hope you enjoy!
I have to tell the story of these electrical boxes on the wall. As Scott began tearing things down in the shed he came to the supply to this outlet and light. I asked him to go in and check that it had been disconnected, and he assured me that he had turned it off inside long ago. Just before he got to the cutting of the wire, I asked him again to go and check, just to make me feel better. So, he went in and looked at the fuse box. The fuse was blown that had been marked Shed, so he came back out with his wire cutters. From my work outside the shed I then heard a "pop" and a "whoa" from Scott. Yes, the fuse was blown. Scott had moved the shed electricity from the fuse box over to the new circuit board! And it was still hot. Thank goodness his wire cutters had rubber handles. The blow notched a hole in the blades of his lovely cutters. At least he was safe.
So, amid the "destruction" Scott is still bringing home "equipment" to store. Notice the yellow dolly ready to take another water heater down to the basement "inventory" room.

Inside the shed. The things we cleaned out in preparation for tearing down were boards, mostly what had been stored there in the rafters by the previous owner. There were a few plastic chairs and empty pails and baskets, but I was afraid to store anything else in this nasty place.
One last shot of the lovely raspberry bush.
